Solvay Advanced Polymers offers more high-temperature sulfone-based polymers than any other plastics supplier in the world. Their unique combination of performance attributes has enabled them to successfully replace brass, copper, cast iron and stainless steel in water handling devices. They are globally approved for potable water (NSF, KTW, WRc) and used in a variety of applications.
Udel® polysulfone is characterized by low creep, toughness, resistance to oxidative aging and exceptional dimensional stability in hot water and steam. It is toxicologically inert and has extensive regulatory clearance for water, food and medical applications.
Radel® R polyphenylsulfone offers many of the same performance features as Udel polysulfone along with higher resistance to fatigue, better long-term exposure to hydrostatic stress, extremely high impact strength, and exceptional chemical resistance.
Acudel® modified polyphenylsulfone opens the door to more cost-sensitive applications that require toughness and chemical resistance as well as hydrolytic and dimensional stability.
