In piping systems for hot water transport applications, like district heating or geothermal heating, the selected material must possess high pressure resistance together with excellent long-term performances at high temperatures, where traditional polyolefins are limited in use.

Products

Polidan® TUX 100 – A specialty designed crosslinkable PEX-b compound, allows pipe and fittings to be thermally welded similar to PE pipe and cross-linked in situ to achieve higher characteristics than standard PEX materials.  TUX 100 has also a very low deformation under creep.

Fittings produced from Radel R or Solef can be combined with PEX materials to provide a metal free solution for district heating systems. Fittings are available from several suppliers in sizes up to 63 mm or more.

Radel® R PPSU – Super-tough transparent plastic with an HDT of 405°F (207°C), excellent chemical resistance and the unique ability to be steam sterilized without significant loss of properties.

Solef® PVDF – excellent chemical resistance to a broad range of chemicals, steam sterilization possible, good water vapor and oxygen barrier
