Polidan PEX System doesn’t need high investments for the production of PEX pipes: PEXb granules can be worked in a standard polyetyhlene extruder with a common feeder. The output is much higher than in the Engel process, while the produced pipe doesn’t need an expensive radiation treatment or an in-line vulcanisation machinery. So, the technology is easily and readily available for a wide range of pipe producers.
Extruded pipes must be crosslinked in a steam or water bath: several crosslinking plants are available for all the differenct pipe structures. |
