In 2002, the Solvay group acquired the assets of Ausimont, a fluorinated specialties manufacturer from Montedison and joined them with those of Solvay’s own fluoropolymer activities to create Solvay Solexis (SOLutions and EXcellence In Science).

The product portfolio includes Suspension and Emulsion PVDF (SOLEF® and HYLAR®), ECTFE (HALAR®), PFA (HYFLON® P, M and F), PTFE (ALGOFLON® and POLYMIST®), Fluoroelastomers FKM and FFKM (TECNOFLON®) as well as fluorinated liquids (GALDEN®).

These high value-added fluorinated specialties are well known for their exceptional resistance to chemical agents and aggressive environments. Fluorinated materials perform well in a wide range of temperatures, are chemically inert, UV resistant and offer excellent release properties.
